With monthly treatments, you’ll begin to see improvements!
Facials help to renew skin cells by circulating the blood flow under the skin, which then can decrease puffiness and fluid buildup that comes from our lymphatic system. Good circulation is important in that it brings oxygen, proteins and nutrition to the skin, while ridding our skin of toxins.

With monthly facial treatments, you’ll clearly begin to see improvements!
A facial is a great way to recharge your skin and get rid of impurities, while you get to relax at the same time. In fact, it is a great bonding session among friends, particularly if you are overworked and looking for a little pampering.
However, some people are apprehensive about getting facials because of the extraction. Some claim that the pain is enough to make them wince, while others say the pain is so bad it makes them cry. Read on to see what you should expect during your facial.
Facial treatments are generally a relaxing experience. Our estheticians are licensed professionals who have spent a minimum of 300 to 1500 hours of training and has passed both a written and practical exam overseen by the state that will enable them to practice. They are licensed to work on the epidermis (the outer layer of the skin).
They can also specialize in treatments such as microdermabrasion, LED treatments, and light chemical peels, among many others. Under the care of Reflections’ experienced and caring team you will have an amazing experience.
Here we have the basic phases of the facial. The exact details depend upon the package you purchase.
Preparation–A special favorite is when the esthetician asks you to lay down on the bed and gives you a brisk shoulder and facial massage, followed by the smelling of relaxing oils such as lavender. The preparation will usually depend on the package you have purchased.
Cleansing– The esthetician will wash your face with a special soap with that are best for your skin type, such as oily or dry skin.
The facial cleansing is usually very soothing. Your esthetician will use mild products to gently cleanse your skin using tender, moderate strokes. It also serves as a massage, thereby relaxing you further.
Exfoliating– After getting rid of makeup and cleansing your skin, you will next be treated to a wonderful exfoliation. The aesthetician will select an exfoliate that best suits your skin. This will vary from gentle exfoliates those that are a bit stronger. No matter the type selected it is part of an overall relaxing experience. Remember, the goal of the exfoliating process is to get rid of dead skin cells and other surface based skin impurities. Then esthetician will wash this off and you will be ready for the next step.
Steaming– Depending on the package you select steaming may be included. Steaming helps open your pores so that your skin is better prepared for extraction which will reduce the potential for discomfort.
The esthetician will usually switch on the steamer and point it in the general direction of your face. You will be asked if you can breathe properly or if you are uncomfortable in any way. You should speak up if you are uncomfortable, because the steaming will last about 5 to 10 minutes.
Extraction– This is perhaps, the most challenging part of the facial. However, don’t worry. Under the hands of a good esthetician, it shouldn’t hurt. And actually, most people fall asleep during this process!
The esthetician will remove skin impurities that are within the outer layer of your skin – which includes mild acne, blackheads, and whiteheads. If anything is too deep, then the esthetician should recommend a dermatologist to have it extracted. They don’t typically touch acne that is about to burst, or pop acne that aren’t ready to be popped.
Finishing up– The aesthetician will finish by applying moisturizer and sunblock. Once done you may opt-in for mask and/or chemical peel.
There are various chemical peels and facial masks to choose from. The options that are best for you will be discussed with your aesthetician. There are facial masks for acne-prone skin, for skin lightening, for oily skin.
Facials are equally as therapeutic for men as for women.

You will get the best results when you have treatments consistently. We recommend this service on a bi-weekly basis, on average, for visible results. As long as a healthy home skincare is maintained, the results will be noticeable.
Do not rub or massage the treated areas for 24 hours as this will help prevent the product from spreading to a different area. Wash your face with warm water. Do not use a scrub and no harsh cleansers for at least 48 hours. Use sunblock daily to prevent sunspot and uneven skin tone.
