What is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a technique which involves the application of a variety of chemical solutions to remove the damaged outer layers of dead skin cells from the skin’s surface. It is extremely beneficial for many skin conditions such as hyperpigmentation, rosacea, acne, sun damage, and photo aging.

By removing the build-up of dead skin cells and stimulating the regenerative process, you will notice marked improvements in the formation of wrinkles and fine lines, texture and tone of the skin, hydration, reduced pore size, clearing of blemishes, more balanced oil production and an overall healthier skin appearance.

(S.A.S) Purifying Peel

2% SALICYLIC that causes desquamation inside the pores, 10% SHIKIMIC that protects the skin and prevents the signs of aging, and 12% AZELAIC that balance skin disorders such as excess sebum, shine and dilated pores.

How peels work?

They can be used to reduce fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth, treat wrinkles caused by sun damage and aging, improve the appearance of mild scars, treat certain types of acne, reduce age spots, freckles, and dark patches (melasma) due to pregnancy or taking birth control pills, improve the look and feel of skin and areas of sun damage may improve after chemical peeling.

What to expect during the treatment?

In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin, which makes it “blister” and eventually peel off. The new skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. Chemical peels can be done on the face, neck, or hands.

What type of home care should I use after my chemical peel?

There are specific instructions to be followed after your skin peel – this is as important as the peel itself. Post care will include occlusive healing balms, epidermal growth factor (cell renewal and wound repair), calming, soothing topicals to reduce itching and inflammation, and always sun screen!
